Linkin Park
Having formed more than one generation of music fans and being considered a nu-metal pioneer, the iconic American band hasembarked on a new era and is currently experiencing one of the most successful comebacks in music history. Their debut album Hybrid Theory (2000), released at the turn of the millennium, opened the door for mainstream audiences to heavy guitar riffs, gaining a massive success. This was later cemented and intensifiedby the band’s sophomore album Meteora from 2003. Linkin Parkwent on to sell over 100 millions of albums, win two Grammys, and successfully tour the world for hundreds of thousands of fans. After frontman Chester Bennington’s tragic death in 2017, the band went silent – until this August. In September, the band came back in full strength, driven by an incredible amount of energy with singer Emily Armstrong and a new drummer and tour guitarist. The band’s new single The Emptiness Machine instantly skyrocketed across the world charts, having been streamed nearly 250 million times on Spotify alone. Linkin Park’s second new single Heavy Is The Crown was selected as the world championship hymn in the popular game League of Legends, gaining over 65 million views on YouTube in a month and a half since its release. The band’s eight studio album – aptly named From Zero, reflecting the band’s fresh start – is scheduled to come out November 15. On September 11, Linkin Park kicked off a world tour that has gained an enormous demand from fans. All the stops are sold out and there is a real euphoria in the arenas as hits such as Numb, In The End, and What I’ve Done are played live. “Getting back out on the road has been incredible,” says Mike Shinoda. “The fans’ support isoverwhelming, and we’re ready to take this energy even further around the world. FROM ZERO is a new chapter for us, and we’re so excited to share it with everyone on a bigger scale.”
Loved by parents and their children alike. The band’s liveperformances are considered to be the best on the current metal scene. They can work with the crowd incredibly well, and their fans (Maggots) give back to them in the form of the loyalty and energythat they radiate, from front rows to back. Two years ago, the masked band performed a flawless show at Rock for People that one could hardly forget. Now embarking on a tour that celebrates the 25th anniversary of their first album, the band is coming back to the festival in full strength with their typical fiery performance. Released on June 29, 1999, Slipknot’s debut album was an instant hit among critics and gained the hearts of fans across the world. Itwas a project that signaled a revolution – an adoption of a creative direction that avoided metal traditions in favor of fresh ideas. Although the jaw-clenching riffs combined with Ross Robinson’s sick production were crucial for the album’s success, it was thediligence and attention to detail in songs that shifted the album’s quality from “great” to “referential”. In the years that followed, Slipknot were treading on the heels of their older colleagues withtheir popularity, navigating this courageous new world with a relentless verve, unconventional ideas, and a desire to travel endless kilometers on tour. Tens of billions of streams and tens of millions of subscribers and followers later, the band has amassed 64 award nominations and 27 wins, including a Grammy for Before I Forget from the album Vol. 3, a collaboration with WWE, and “The Boys” on Amazon Prime and Sony PlayStation. They have performed aseemingly endless amount of concerts and headline shows at the world’s biggest festivals, such as Download, Rock in Rio, Hellfest, Wacken, Rock for People, and many more.
